GASP...a personal post!!

I know, I know, I never post pictures of my kids or journal how they are doing anymore! I know I'm going to kick myself in the behind someday for all of the long lulls in personal pictures on this blog! Well, here are some for today at least. We went to the state fair of Texas this past weekend. We've been enough times that I think I can safely say it's a tradition! We have our favorite food (corny dogs, tator twisters, cotton candy, funnel cakes, and caramel apples just to name a few...do you have a tummy ache just reading that?) and we have our favorite spots (the farm, petting zoo, car show and this year we added the wine tasting). Only at the state fair will you spend a buck on one ounce of wine and not even flinch...that's why they make you buy tickets cause it's not real money...yeah, right! And of course we have to end our day with some rides for the kids. This year Matt and girls went down the big slide. I could kick myself because at the car show I got all photographer like and set my ISO to 1600 just to see what kind of images I would get of this awesome decked out mustang). Then (and all of you photographers out there know exactly what I'm about to say don't' you?!) I forgot to set my ISO back to 200 and the rest of the pictures are grainy. The pictures I took on the slide are far away (just had my 35mm with me)and sooo grainy I'm too embarrassed to even think about posting them! But, trust me they had a blast!!
So enough jabber and on to the pictures. For those of you who are die hard Koceich kids fans I've got some cute journaling about them after the pictures so stay tuned!

Koceich Kid Updates...

Madison...Just this last week Abby came in to the office crying saying she was sad that Madison wouldn't sleep with her. We figured she wanted Madison to hold her hand to fall asleep (a frequent occurrence) or sleep in the bed with her and we told her Madison just wanted to sleep in her own bed so to leave her alone and get to sleep. Matt even went into the room with Abby to tuck her back in and was perplexed when Abby continued to cry when he left. It wasn't until Matt went into our room that he notices Madison was asleep in our bed. I went in there and after about 15 minutes of trying to wake her up to find out why she was in our bed to no avail, I managed to get her to walk back to her own bed. I'm convinced she was sleep walking. This wouldn't be the first time. I don't think I've ever met a heavier sleeper! She had no recollection of any of it the next day!

Abby...Abby's newest thing is to sing and sing loud. She gives it all she's got (which is how she does just about everything). Just the other day she said she was singing lull-a-byes. I asked her what they were about and she said spiders and crocodiles. That's my Abby. Mom says she's a walking contradiction which is sooo true. She loves, loves, loves to dress up in her princess clothes, shoes and accessories and you will find her applying "lipstick" several times a day, but she's also a tom boy and loves to wrestle with Max and play with his trucks and just be adventurous! She is NEVER boring!

Max...Max has begun talking almost nonstop. I'm just about the only one who understands the majority of what he is trying to say. Our latest conversation, which we have over and over again goes something like this...
Max... Listen (when he says this he puts his hand on his cheek...not sure why, maybe he's trying to do the hand cupping the ear thing to show "listen"
Mommy...what is it?
Max...I hear it, it's an airplane
Mommy...where is it
Max...I don't see it, where'd it go, up in the sky, there it is
and then we do the same thing over again with helicopter. That is a fun one to hear him say. I wish I could do the cute way he says all of these words justice with phonetics, but I think he's invented some letter sounds I've never heard of! Gonna have to get this conversation on tape soon!

How fun! I LOVE fairs! And I DID get a little tummy ache thinking about eating all those goodies! ;c) You got great shots, I love how each one seems to tell it's own story! And your journaling at the end... too cute! I need to be better at writing down the cute/funny things my kids do and say too!

That corn dog looks heavenly to me right about now. Put a little mustard on it and send it to me:) Looks like you guys had a blast, I'm glad you enjoyed the time with your family and who cares about the 1600 ISO?
