I love getting new clients because I end up with new friends too!
This beautiful family (inside and out) and I had a great time in the stockyards yesterday morning! The fog was hovering but seemed to clear just in time!
We got some beautiful shots!!!

Success...
In all honesty, you never know with even one toddler (or child under about the age of four) how successful a session will be, much less two. However, with my bag of tricks (i.e. Santa puppet, candy, cars and lip gloss) where there is a will, there is a way! And, I am giddy today over the images we captured!! SUCCESS!
this image makes me GIDDY!!!!!!!
trick #1...run at the family like a wild woman making weird noises and then retreat. Do this about seven times so they smile at you in anticipation for the next time. :) (it's a good think I have no pride)
trick #2...have the kids hold onto something. This keeps them still for about .000004 seconds

trick #3...just let them run around at will so they don't feel like you're making them be still (a toddlers worst nightmare) side note...it's best to do this away from hard, metal objects like this bridge because a run away toddler might do a face plant right into the side of the bridge (oops)
trick #4...suspend the children in mid-air so they can't run away. (they love this trick as much as I do)

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE...
...this family!!!
And, can I just say what a difference a year makes! We got some great images last year of these beautiful children, but we had to work harder for them!! This year they were all so cooperative and we had a ball! Love you guys!!!

Stunning...
Each and every time I photograph these kids I get the most stunning images! They are just strikingly beautiful children! I hope you guys had fun at the birthday party last night!!
(and mom...aren't you surprised by that REAL smile by Mr. L?) :)

Shew...
Boy was that close! We are coming up the backstretch of photo sessions before the Christmas deadline. I am working from sun up to sun down to get all of these sessions edited, Christmas cards made, Photo gifts created, orders placed and packaged etc. This is one busy week coming up and I was so grateful that the rains held off for our two sessions this afternoon so we were able to get them in!
I know you will recognize these beautiful girls!! I have photographed them for (goodness, has it been four years?). They are a complete delight!! We had to contend with dark skies, but they brightened up the scene!!

And the Beautiful Families Continue...
I seriously have the most beautiful families to photograph!!
And, in what other profession can you take a stroll in a beautiful park, enjoy the conversation of delightful people and take a moment to stop and capture precious memories for them? My job is the GREATEST!!
I had never been to this location before. It's in Benbrook...the water and trees in the background are gorgeous!! Yay for new locations!

It's a Beautiful Day...
Another beautiful November day in Texas! My favorite time of year!!
This sweet family and I had a fun session in perfect weather!
I love playing with my little kids in sessions, but it is nice to have a session where I can relax a bit from my crazy lady running, jumping, silly song singing, noise-making antics. We got some great captures!!
(anyone who uses photobucket know why all of the sudden my websize images are looking pixelated? I haven't changed a think in how I resize/upload.)

Canvas Envy...
I have come down with a case of canvas envy!!!
My dear client ordered these gorgeous canvases of her kids playing in the mud for her play room! How cool is that!
They are breath-taking! Just had to post pictures before I have to part with them!!!
Here they are! (warning: I am not a product photographer :P )

Natural Beauty...
Little Ms. T is such a natural beauty! And, she has the sweetest personality to boot!!! I drove to Dallas for this session and I'm so glad I did! Isn't this park an awesome location!!! This family is full of love for each other...they just "get it"!! And, as a result this little girl knows she is loved and that just makes my heart so happy!!
And, momma B gets the reward for best client ever as she sent me home with a box of cupcakes from Society Bakery in Dallas. If you've never had one...get there as fast as you can...it will be worth it!!
