Selah Studios. That's the name of my new adventure into photography. I have loved photography for as long as I can remember. When I was going into the 10th grade I remember taking a trip to the Teton Mountains, 35mm in hand, and just having to shoot every gorgeous inch of the scenery. As I am now a mom to three beautiful children, it has become my passion to capture their souls. Not just their faces, but their expressions, not just their expressions, but their emotions, and not just their emotions, but their spirit. As a childcare provider, I have found tremendous joy in giving this gift to others.
Why the name Selah??? Selah is found in the bible, most often in the Psalms, and means to take time to pause or reflect on the value of something. That is exactly what a photograph means to me. It is the opportunity to pause and reflect on the tremendous blessings from God our Heavenly Father. His love just radiates from children of all walks of life. I hope that you will enjoy the images I publish on this blog and with each one recognize the blessing!!
