Day 80...

Wow...is it really day 80? I have been MIA for too long!! I went to the Women of Faith conference in San Antonio this past weekend with my best friend Jennifer. Let me just say that if it comes to a city near you, or even if it doesn't, you should find a way to attend. It was amazing!! I was so inspired and rejuvenated! All women, believers or not, would benefit in a big way from this conference!!

One of the speakers was Donald Miller. He was so insightful in a real way! He has no pretense. His words are so real that initially I found myself thinking, did he really say that? It is refreshing to hear a christian be so honest, intelligent and insightful all at the same time. I am reading one of his books called Blue Like Jazz. If I had enough time I would probably be able to finish it in one sitting. I hate to put it down. It's described as nonreligious thoughts on Christian spirituality. Love it!

Okay...I'm done with my plugging for today. Can you tell I'm still on post-conference adrenaline.

On to the POTD. The theme this week is household items. This is one of my favorite household items. It is a bucket that has been embellished with beads. I used it for crushed ice at parties usually. I'm sure I could use it for many other things, but I not good with stuff like that. Any suggestions? It's pretty big. I didn't make it, although I bought some beads a few years ago with every intention of copying the idea. Still haven't! :)

I'm also leaving you with a couple pictures of my bf's beautiful girls. She has two boys also and I will post their picture soon! Love you Jennifer!!

HHCC Always Appreciated!!!!

Very lovely girls! I really like your comp on the second picture (1st bf girl picture). Her eyes sparkle and her skin just glows. And cool ice bucket! Some really cool beads. TFS

First...I used to live in San Antonio...it's such a cultural town.

Woman of Faith is amazing, I'm so glad you got to go.

That first shot is great, love the color, DOF and you composition. The colors in the outdoor shots is also lovely, very nice photos today and it's good to see you back:)

great shot of the bead bucket. Like the DOF and the focus on the beads. The white bg is great too.
I've heard about the conference, but never made it to one yet. I know I should. My dh is a Promise Keeper and has gone to the PK events for years now....
