Day 100...
Wow...the year is really flying!
We had a very busy weekend so it's been too long since I've posted!
Only in Texas can you have rain, sleet, a tornado, snow and 80 degree weather all in the span of a week! It snowed here on Easter. Nothing stuck, but it really snowed a lot! Easter was a great day. We went to church and heard an awesome service then came home and prepared breakfast burritos (an Easter and Christmas tradition), followed by an egg hunt. My girls are way too big! It literally took them all of five minutes to finish the hunt. I kept telling them to freeze so I could snap a picture or two. I'll have to share those tomorrow. I don't even know what the theme is this week, but I'll get with the program eventually! Anyway I pulled out the white fleece blanket (I only have one though so I had to do chair shots so you couldn't see the floor) for a photo shoot of my sister and her grandson Jaxon and my girls (Max was pulling heavy zzzzs by this time). I still don't quite have the white background thing down...I'll have to add it to the ever growing list of things to learn!! Anywho, one last tidbit about how the day ended (hence the last picture...hey it fits last week's theme doesn't it!!!!!) I was getting ready for bed when I noticed the molding that fits between the bottom of the tub and the floor was pulling away from the tub. I moved the scale to see if it was pulling away behind it and saw something (my brain didn't register what the something was right away) so I put my toe down to touch it and just as my toe brushed it I realized it was a snake!! I freaked out and jumped up on the bathroom counter. He was about 12 or so inches long and maybe an inch or so in diameter and I knew right away he wasn't just a grass snake!! Matt was right there in the closet when I screamed and I think after my initial scream he freaked out more than I did! I informed him quickly that he would need to get rid of it! I got my camera snapped a picture and called my dad for advice! To make a long story shortish, after Matt made two phone calls to friends for help and 45 minutes of pacing the house and coming up with schemes to get rid of it, Matt finally captured it under a bucket, slid a piece of cardboard under the bucket dumped the bucket, cardboard and snake in a giant trash bag, duct taped the trash bag and double bagged it, and hopped in the car to find a dumpster! With the help of Benedryl I was able to sleep that night but only after some really weird dreams...none of them involved snakes though...THANK GOODNESS!!!

Wonderful shots, except for the snake, yikes, I can't image having one in the house, wouldn't of been able to sleep thats for sure. Your a brave woman.
ok, that snake is HUGE! I freak when I see a june bug or a roach inside...I would probably wet myself if I saw that!!
(and then I would totally blog about it like you did. :)
I love the other pics! I can't pick a favorite...they are all so cute!
Wow...isn't it funny how we react when we aren't expecting to find critters in our house!! I agree...EEEEKKKK!!!
I love the other pictures. They are stunning!
Oh my goodness!! Do you live in the country??? I can't imagine a snake indoors. I can't stand 'em!
Although, I am totally impressed that you had the wits to capture it!!The photographer in you won out. Way to go!!
Anyway, the other shots look great. Your white looks pretty good to me. I'm still working on that, too. It's definitely a challenge. TFS!
I adore that 4th picture from the top. What beautiful little ones! :) Well, with the exception of the snake, that is!!
Great pics...and holy moly that's one huge snake! Ewww I hate snakes
But great job on the pics!
OMGOSH! I would be TOTALLY freaking out!!!!!! I cannot believe that thing was in your HOUSE! ACK!
Wow. Well, I just adore the rest of the pictures, though! SO cute...especially the interaction in the first one. :)
Great family pics, but eek on the snake! I would have flipped! I'm ok with them if I know they are there (like zoos and things), but if they surprise me...it's not a pretty sight!
