It's time for a family post! It's been way too long! I'm sure there are a million precious, cute, funny, silly, naughty and mischievous things my children have done that I haven't journaled about! I hate that they are done and not recorded!! We were talking about the importance of keeping our perspective on Eternal things in church yesterday. What an important thing to remember to do! To me memories are eternal! The things that make me laugh and give me glimpses of the amazing spirits God gave to each of my children are precious to me! That is why I love photography so much! When I look through my pictures I don't forget. Even more than that, I notice details about each of them that are lost in the craziness of life! I notice Madison's beauty mark, the sparkle in Abby's eyes and the silly grin Max always has on his face! I don't just noticed them for a split second and then turn to the next distraction. I really see and soak in those details and more importantly I take the time to thank God for such amazing blessings!! It's in those times when I am focusing on the blessings in my life that I am most content and able to reflect God's love toward others. Now if only I would do that more often! ;)

Just a few random memories...
* Madison lost her first tooth last night! She was absolutely giddy! She was skipping around the house giggling! She has had two loose teeth it seems like for months now. She is 7 1/2 and I think one of the only kids she knows who hadn't lost a tooth! The tooth fairy came and gave her a silver dollar! She woke me up this morning saying, "Wake up Mommy, something wonderful has happened. The tooth fairy came." Is that not the most precious thing ever!!
* Abby is now going to Princess Ballerina Camp every Thursday. She loves to dance. She is the only kid I know who is a tom boy and a girly girl all at the same time! I love it! Lately she has been trying to figure out what "married" means. She often comes up to me and says, "Mommy, you're already married." then she'll get the dried flowers I have by my bathtub and hold them in front of her and say, "You carried flowers like this and you were beautiful!" I love that she expresses her thoughts out loud (well usually I do) because it's fun to have a glimpse into that creative imagination.
* Mr. Max is almost two and doesn't look like a baby anymore. (crying inside) He is getting tall and skinny and runs and plays and wants cuddles less and less. He is sooooo cute! Thank goodness his hair still sticks straight up. That is one of my favorite things! He is such a busy boy! He loves the movie CARS and loves to play with the cars that his Daddy is now collecting "for the kids". He's all boy and fearless (like Abby) and I'm just waiting for our first trip to the emergency room!

Here are a few photos to share!

can't you just see the excitement on her face?!

I promise we weren't beating them. It was too sunny. Can you tell which two of my children have blue eyes and couldn't even open them because of the sun!

That's a good picture of her and her first lost tooth. And I like the second one with all the kids...I know how hard it can be to have them all look at you.
