Before the Surge Hits...

...and I'm not talking about Gustav (tee hee)! I'm talking about the crazy busy Christmas season which is basically beginning this week (with five sessions).
Before I am posting lots of sneak peeks and product peeks, I wanted to post a few of my own kiddos. We went to a fun little alley in Mansfield where I like to take pictures of seniors, and I snagged a few shots. I got one or two of each of them that will be keepers, but getting that perfect pic of the three of them together is proving to be an impossibility! At least until Max gets out of that 'do whatever mom doesn't want me to do' stage.

Just a quick update on our family since I never remember to write in their journals anymore (I'm really going to rue that one day). We had an event-packed summer with swimming lessons, several visits to Hawaiian Falls, a trip to Galveston, a week of Camp Thurman and Madison's trip to Disney Land and Max's and Matt's birthday parties. The summer was a total blur. I think it was fun though...LOL!! Max is becoming my little tazmanian devil...constant fast motion and he even makes some of the same noises. He is a hoot and hard to keep up with. Right now he is defined by his bruises...they each tell the story of his daily life. Abby is sooooo ready to get back to Mother's Day Out. She is in the pre-K class this year 2.5 days a week and will be taking dance and playing t-ball...and the fact that she loves those two completely different activities equally tells you all about her personality. Ms. Madison is back in school and actually has to switch to a new teacher next week (their class sizes were too big). She seems to be handling that news well though. She is still getting used to the go go go and has those tired, tired eyes. She goes to bed at 8:00 but is like her momma and needs lots of sleep to maintain a high energy level. I had my last day as a home daycare provider last week. Although I am sad to see my last daycare child (Ms. Emma) go, I am so ready to put any extra time/energy from not doing the daycare into the photography. The photography has been so much busier than I expected this summer...I thought the Texas heat would slow it down and it did some but not like I thought. It has been a huge blessing having Matt home over the summer (he's a teacher) to help with the kids and daycare while I maintained a pretty full schedule! Thanks honey!! Speaking of Matt, he was ready to get back to work (hmmmm...could it be that all of the help he was giving me wore him out??? Me thinks so). He has had a good start to the school year and in November will get to attend a writer's workshop with the Christian Writer's Guild where he will get to meet with Jerry Jenkins. He is most excited about that!!

Beautiful! Love the eye contact wish I could get that from Eliana without a goofy grin.

I know what you mean! What is it with all these super-prepared and organized people, getting their Christmas photos done early and whatnot! I literally get my personal cards done and ordered less than 3 weeks before Christmas, LOL! I so wish I could be one of the early birds and get things done like that.

What a gorgeous group of kiddos this is- OMG, I love their little attitudes and you captured them so beautifully!
