Last year we went to the Ft. Worth Botanic Gardens "Concert in the Gardens" to celebrate the fourth of July. It was so fun, we decided to go again this year. Although it was hotter this year than I remember last year being, we found some shade, drank lots of water, ate lots of food and had fun!!
my little fire crackers
our friend's little boy Kollin (he is the funniest, happiest ball of energy I know!)...btw, the water on his face is from the squire bottle he's playing with.
these are in random order. The sun was actually setting on this shot so the ISO is high (800)
Karsen, she belongs to our friends too and as you can see by this precious grin, lots and lots of fun herself!!
My nephew Logan. He gave me this sweet smile in exchange for looking at the pictures on my camera...whatever works!
HAD to have this hat! For all you clients out there, this hat is now officially a prop so just ask if you want to use it in pictures. (isn't she PRECIOUS!!!) She actually has a pretty good sunburn from swimming earlier in the day on her nose and cheeks...isn't Photoshop great?!?!
I think you are unamerican if you don't love OREOS...just kidding (kind of) :P
Also my nephew (Mr. Logan's brother) and why it's George Washington of Course. Connor was the only kid in the group brave enough to have his picture taken with him. The other kids called him a pirate. I'm not telling you who I thought he was...no way!
obviously hand held, but you can just imagine what they would look like if I had brought my tripod.
Yes, I realize this is as grainy as all get out. Pitch black with some mild ambient lighting and the light from the fireworks. But, you just can't capture the fact that they are watching glowing fireworks at night with a flash so grainy it will stay! I love the look of wonder on Max's face (and Matt's too, it looks like...snicker!)

Love the sun-kissed cheeks of your little ones in that first shot. Looks like it was a good time.
Aww, what a FUN day! I love all of these shots of your outing... and happy 4th!
Great shots, I especially like the very first and very last ones. Great expressions.
Such beautiful little faces! And I really like the facial expressions on the last one.
I love all of these! I feel like I shared the day with y'all! Wonderful captures!
They are all just getting so big and they are getting more adorable by the day! What a beautiful family.
